Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters.
This policy explains how ALO Digital Philippines, Inc., operating Motel Mojo, handles personal information when people use our websites, motel management platform, and public booking pages.
Effective August 20, 2026
1. Who we are
Motel Mojo is operated by ALO Digital Philippines, Inc. ("ALO Digital," "Motel Mojo," "we," "us," or "our"), with principal office at Unit 1206, 12th Floor, Trade & Financial Tower, 7th Avenue corner 32nd Street, Bonifacio Global City, City of Taguig, NCR, Philippines 1634.
You may contact us at [email protected] for privacy questions or requests concerning your personal information.
2. Scope and our role
This policy applies to the Motel Mojo website, operator accounts, management tools, public booking pages, booking confirmations, and related support and communications (collectively, the "Services").
For operator account, billing, website, and direct business relationship data, ALO Digital generally determines why and how personal information is processed. For guest information entered into Motel Mojo by a motel operator or collected through that operator's public booking page, the motel operator generally determines the purpose of processing and ALO Digital processes the information to provide the Services. The operator's own privacy notice may also apply.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account and organization data: name, work email, account identifiers, organization, branch, role, and team membership.
- Guest and booking data: guest name or alias, phone number, email address, booking dates and times, room or package, add-ons, notes, preferences, confirmation code, booking source, and status.
- Identity and operational records: age or identity-verification status and, when an operator uses relevant features, government-issued identification images or related records.
- Payment records: amount, currency, payment method or channel, payment status, reference number, proof of payment, refunds, and settlement information. Payment credentials may be collected directly by a payment provider rather than Motel Mojo.
- Communications: support messages, demo requests, emails, feedback, and marketing preferences.
- Operator content: branch information, rooms, rates, policies, images, staff notes, reports, and other content submitted to the platform.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device information, operating system, language, requested pages, referral URL, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
- Account activity, feature usage, sign-in events, and security events needed to operate, troubleshoot, and protect the Services.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies required for authentication, preferences, security, and core functionality.
Information from others
We may receive information from motel operators, their authorized staff, booking partners, identity and authentication providers, payment providers, communications providers, and people who make a booking for another guest.
4. How we use information
- Provide public booking pages, reservations, room availability, check-in workflows, housekeeping, payments, reporting, and other platform features.
- Create and administer accounts, authenticate users, manage permissions, and support operator organizations.
- Send booking confirmations, transactional notices, service messages, security alerts, and requested marketing communications.
- Process payments, keep financial records, prevent fraud, and support disputes, refunds, and reconciliation.
- Respond to inquiries, provide support, conduct demonstrations, and manage our customer relationships.
- Monitor performance, diagnose errors, improve usability, develop features, and generate aggregated or de-identified insights.
- Protect guests, operators, ALO Digital, and the public; enforce agreements; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We process personal information with consent where required, to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps, to comply with legal obligations, to protect vital interests, and for legitimate business interests that are not overridden by individual rights. Motel operators are responsible for establishing an appropriate lawful basis for the guest information they direct us to process.
5. Cookies and marketing technology
We use technologies necessary to keep users signed in, remember settings, secure the Services, and maintain reliable sessions. Motel operators may choose to configure third-party analytics or advertising tools, including Meta Pixel, on their public booking pages. When enabled, those providers may collect device, browser, interaction, and conversion information under the operator's instructions and their own terms.
Where consent is legally required for non-essential technologies, the responsible operator must obtain it before activation. Browser controls may block or delete cookies, but disabling essential storage can prevent parts of the Services from working.
6. When we disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it:
- To the relevant motel operator, branches, authorized staff, and people involved in fulfilling a booking.
- To service providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, storage, email, scheduling, customer support, security, analytics, and payment processing.
- To payment institutions, banks, networks, and fraud-prevention partners as needed for transactions.
- To professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by law.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- With your direction or consent.
7. International processing
Some providers may process or store information outside the Philippines. When personal information is transferred across borders, we use contractual, organizational, and technical measures designed to require appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing the Services, meeting contractual and legal duties, maintaining financial and audit records, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention depends on the type of record, operator instructions, account status, sensitivity, and applicable limitation periods.
When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before routine deletion. Motel operators control certain guest records and may establish their own legally compliant retention periods.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organizational, physical, and technical measures designed to protect information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, or access. These include access controls, authentication, role-based permissions, service monitoring, and safeguards used by our infrastructure providers.
No system is completely secure. Users must protect credentials, restrict staff access appropriately, keep devices secure, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized activity.
10. Your privacy rights
Subject to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its implementing rules, and other applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Be informed about processing and request access to your personal information.
- Object to or withdraw consent for certain processing.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request erasure or blocking where legally available.
- Request data portability in applicable circumstances.
- Seek indemnity for damage and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Send requests to [email protected]. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. If your request concerns a motel's guest records, contact that operator first; we will assist the operator as required. Some rights are subject to lawful exceptions, including recordkeeping and legal-claims requirements.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. Transactional and service communications may continue when necessary to provide the Services.
11. Children and age restrictions
Motel Mojo operator accounts are not intended for children. Public motel bookings are intended only for persons legally permitted to make the relevant reservation and, unless a motel expressly provides otherwise in accordance with law, guests must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the Services without appropriate authority or consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly.
12. Third-party services and motel policies
The Services may link to or interoperate with websites, payment services, social platforms, and services controlled by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Each motel operator is independently responsible for its guest relationship, notices, CCTV, on-premises practices, house rules, and any processing outside Motel Mojo.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Services, law, or our practices. We will post the revised version here and change the effective date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the Services or by email when appropriate.
